New Figure Sets from CTS and TSSD

It had been a while since we had had some new figure releases, but today I learned of two vendors with new sets:

I also found out today that TSSD is enhancing their WWII figure line with some mini-sets of 3-4 figures for the GIs, Marines, Germans, Japanese and Soviets. Here is a link to the announcement and some pictures of the figures:  http://www.sdsoldiers.com/very_new_products_and_hobby_news.htm

Michigan Toy Soldier Sale

I got an email from Michigan Toy Soldier Company announcing a 20% off sale across the board. The sale will go on through September 9 and to take advantage of it you need to be a registered user of their site, and enter the promo code HappyBirthday when you are ready to check out (note that it's one whole word). If you are a preferred customer (you can become one by requesting your preferred customer number from them), you can also take advantage of a few other select items at 50% off. All in all it seems like a decent deal. I am already adding a few Charben and Cherilea WWII figures that I recently discovered to my shopping cart!

Upcoming CTS Release - The votes are in

Today I got an email from CTS with the results of the poll mentioned in an earlier post and unfortunately the GIs lost by 23%. I guess we'll just have to wait a little bit longer for those GIs. The email did not specify a release date, but the orignal note had mentioned September.

UPDATE: the release of the second set of GIs just happened last week, third week of September!

Upcoming CTS release - cast your vote

Classic Toy Soldiers wants our input to decide which set of figures to release next. They are undecided between a second set of WWII GIs and a set of Civil War Confederates. They say they expect to release them in September.

To cast your vote just send an email to cts@classictoysoldiers.com with the suject 'Conf' or 'GI'.

Any guesses as to which one I voted for?

UPDATE: the GIs have now been released as of the third week of September.
