I recently found these GIs on eBay. They did not indicate the manufacturer, but I could tell that they were vintage so I got them (not to mention that the guy throwing the rock is a very unique pose!), assuming that I would be able to track down the manufacturer later. Well, I spent almost a whole afternoon trying to identify them and could not figure it out. It was thanks to a reader who left a comment that we now know that they are early Lido GIs. I'll add them to the corresponding post.

They definitely look American, but beyond that I wouldn't know, Palmer or Ralston or one of the smaller makes? The chap to ask is Kent Sprecher at the Toy Soldier HQ, email him and get him to have a look, or Stad's over at Wordpress?

I made the same post on the Facebook page and someone already solved the mystery. They seem to be early Lido figures. Thanks for the tips though. I will keep those contacts in mind.
ReplyDeletere:Rock thrower there is another figure in same pose put stabbing down with a dagger,B.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip. I'll keep an eye out for it!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip (again!). I got it. It contains the three poses that I was missing, so now I'll have the full set. I don't care much for the vehicles that come with the figures but well. I'll probably trade them down the road for something else.
